Renowned as some of the most deadly and tenacious fighters in the land, the Knights of the Obsidian Tower are tasked with protecting a mage with whom they have bonded. The oldest of their order mentor young initiate knights and train them in the arts of killing, spending years refining their skills with all manner of weapons. When an elder mage deems an initiate’s skill adequate, the initiate becomes a knight and is paired with a young mage. The two are bonded each gaining something in the process.
